Responsibility Policy

We take our legal responsibilities seriously and are dedicated to meeting our obligations under the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012.

This Policy outlines the measures and controls implemented by EL VIAJERO at both the purchase and delivery stages to ensure the safe, legal, and responsible sale and supply of alcohol.

• EL VIAJERO operates as an online remote retailer of imported South American alcohol. Alcohol must be delivered from the premises to the buyer for consumption off the premises.
• No physical premises are open to the public and no face to face alcohol sales or ‘click and collect’ pickups will take place.
• It is illegal for us to supply alcohol to anyone under the age of 18. 
• Customers must confirm they are 18 years or older before entering the website and at checkout before purchase. It is illegal to falsely declare that you are aged 18 or over if you are not.
• Recipients who appear to be under the age of 25 will need to verify their age with a valid form of ID. If age cannot be verified, we will arrange a redelivery for a time that proof of age can be obtained. 
• Refunds, minus delivery costs, will be processed for any orders where the recipient or purchaser is found to be under the age of 18. 
• No alcohol will be delivered before 6:00 am or after 11:00pm.
• No alcohol will be delivered at any time on Christmas Day, Good Friday, Easter Sunday or before 1:00 pm on ANZAC Day.
• We are unable to leave alcohol unattended at a delivery address if nobody is there to receive it.
• It is illegal to supply alcohol to anyone who is intoxicated. Delivery will be refused where the recipient shows signs of intoxication and a refund or redelivery will be organised as appropriate.
